Celebrate the Juneteenth holiday with a screening of the 2020 film Miss Juneteenth. From director Channing Godfrey Peoples, Miss Juneteenth tells the story of a former beauty queen and single mom as she prepares her rebellious teenage daughter for the "Miss Juneteenth" pageant.
This heartfelt slice-of-life family drama is inspired by Godfrey Peoples' real experiences celebrating the Juneteenth holiday growing up in Forth Worth, Texas.
Official Selection at the Sundance Film Festival and SXSW Film Festival.
