Empowered: A Safety and Self-Defense Seminar

1 in 3 women and 1 in 4 men are impacted by domestic violence.

In honor of October's Domestic Violence Awareness Month, Black Wing Collective and Becky's Fund present a self-defense seminar to teach you the verbal and physical skills that will help you protect and defend yourself in the face of violence.

We will first focus on what you can control leading up to and in the face of danger. Hands-on training and practice through mock scenarios will give you an opportunity to explore what you've learned.

You deserve to feel and be safe. Studies show that learning skills to protect yourself not only increases your safety, but also reduces anxiety and fear, and improves your confidence.

Come out and be empowered. Learn the skills to help you prevent, interrupt, heal from, and end harassment, abuse, and assault.
