Jazz Performance by the Windmill Jazz Collective at the Vienna Community Center
Do you like jazz, especially live? Patrick Henry Library and the Vienna Community Center are proud to host the Windmill Jazz Collective. They perform jazz tunes, primarily from the mid-20th century.
The Windmill Jazz Collective is comprised of four to eight hobbyist musicians (depending on their participants’ availability) who enjoy playing and sharing jazz music. They have played in one grouping or another for over a decade.
They began as jazz jammers in 2008 when a member learned that a particular local jazz workshop lacked an available opening for him. They jammed and later rehearsed and played at the Mount Vernon Unitarian Church, on Windmill Lane, where one of the distinguishing physical features is a tall windmill. All ages.
This program will be held at the Vienna Community Center, 120 Cherry St SE, Vienna.
