Author M. K. Nielsen: The Benevolent World Banker
M. K. Nielsen is the pen name of a local author and World Bank retiree. His novel, The Benevolent World Banker, is inspired by his own career, but is a work of contemporary political fiction. It portrays the life of David Pedersen, a Danish economist who moves to Washington DC with two burning ambitions: to fight poverty and to start a family better than the one he came from. But real life gets in the way.
The author will make a brief presentation, followed by a free discussion of the range of political issues that this book raises.
