Intergenerational: Art of Braille
Braille as Art
2024 is the 200th anniversary of the braille alphabet! For our craft, learn the braille letters you'll need to then spell out your name using brightly colored rhinestones. Staff from our Access Services library branch will talk about braille and so much more. In addition to creating our tactile craft, you'll have the opportunity to use a braille typewriter, try a mobility cane, touch books written in braille and see some other braille-related items. Play a game of trivia where you'll need to figure out the answers using the braille alphabet! Age 8 and up. No registration is necessary this month!
