Join the Historical Society of Fairfax County in this Friends of the Virginia Room-sponsored event hosting local historian Cassandra Good. Good will speak about her new book First Family: George Washington's Heirs and the Making of America. The book tells the long overlooked story of Washington’s step-grandchildren, the Custises, who achieved fame as the nation’s first “first family.” Books will be available for purchase.
