Geocaching 101

Geocaching 101

Do you love scavenger hunts? Solving puzzles? Being outside? Finding treasures? Discover the world of Geocaching - a fun hobby that gives you a reason to do all of these things and more.

Geocaching is an outdoor recreational activity that's perfect for the whole family. Geocachers use a GPS (or their phones) to hide and seek containers, called geocaches, at specific locations marked by coordinates all over the world. There are more than 3 million geocaches worldwide, probably some very near you!

Join members of the Northern Virginia Geocaching Organization (NoVAGO) for a fun and informative evening learning about geocaching and the worldwide community that loves it, then give it a try yourself.

Learn more about geocaching at https://www.novago.org/wp/ and https://www.geocaching.com/play
