Teen Chopped Presents: A Cooking Basics Workshop

Teen Chopped Presents: A Cooking Basics Workshop

With Professional Chef Becky Waldman of Becky's Pixie Kitchen.

This class will empower teens to take charge of what they eat on a daily and weekly basis. We provide instruction that will support teens in the kitchen, helping to build cooking skills to promote their independence and confidence that goes beyond just using a microwave. Participants will prepare one delicious meal with their own hands.

Teens will learn how to prepare a selection of common ingredients, building preparation skills and cooking techniques for easy and delicious results and repeatable recipes. They will slo familiarize themselves with using specific, practical and standard kitchen equipment, as well as practicing simple cleaning techniques necessary for sanitation in the kitchen. Students will learn how to use ingredients, spices and herbs to combine flavors while making one super tasty dish that they can eat and celebrate the creation of at the end of the class!
