Make an Eclipse Viewer
A partial solar eclipse will occur in our area on April 8, 2024! An eclipse projector is an easy and safe way to view the eclipsed Sun. We'll provide supplies to make a pinhole camera or projector that lets you watch safely and easily from anywhere. All Ages With Adult. No Registration.
Supply of boxes is limited. Feel free to bring your own cereal box. When boxes run out, projectors will be constructed with cardstock.
Note that pinhole projection does not mean looking at the Sun through a pinhole! With the Sun at your back, you project sunlight through the hole(s) onto a surface and look at the solar image(s) on the surface.
Be sure to read all about eclipse viewing safety before heading out to enjoy the eclipse.
