The Story of Korea: Presentation and Minhwa (민화) Folk Art Workshop

Celebrate Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander Heritage Month with a program presented by the Korean Cultural Center Washington, D.C.

Learn about the culture, history, and interesting story of South Korea, including an introduction to Korean traditional folk art known as minhwa (민화). Pop culture fans and curious newcomers alike are welcome to join and gain a better understanding of this vibrant East Asian country now having a big impact on the world. After the presentation, select a traditional minhwa printout and enjoy creating your own unique colorful artwork using watercolor brush markers that resemble traditional techniques, while traditional Korean music plays in the background.
