ABOUT WINDMILL JAZZ COLLECTIVE
The Windmill Jazz Collective is composed of four to eight hobbyists-musicians who enjoy playing and sharing jazz. They have played over a decade around Northern Virginia and, occasionally, in Washington, DC. They play jazz and blues tunes from the music’s heyday, the Swing Era, with touches of other jazz styles including bebop and bossa nova. They rehearse, and perform from time to time, at the Mount Vernon Unitarian Church in Fairfax County on Windmill Lane, where one of the distinguishing physical features is a tall windmill.
