In 2023, the American Library Association recorded 4,240 unique book titles targeted for bans and challenges in schools and libraries across the US, of which 47% were by or about LGBTQ+ people and/or people of color. Executive Director Leon van der Goetz of NoVA Prism Center will explore of the impact of book bans on the LGBTQIA+ community and how you can help save access to LGBTQ+ literature through activism and allyship.
