Qigong

      Qigong for Winter into Spring

Qigong is a collection of ancient Chinese practices that help us balance our energies and harmonize with the natural world.   This class is being offered during the period of time when nature is transforming from Winter into Spring.    We will learn Qigong forms, breathing practices, and self-massage techniques that support a smooth transition into the new season, and enhance our health and renew our well-being along the way.  When practiced over time, Qigong awakens our natural inner happiness and joy that is the essence of Qi itself.  This class is appropriate for all levels, both beginners and those with more experience in Qigong or other internal arts.

Carol Ritter, Ph.D.  began her Qigong journey in 1997, and has been teaching since 2015 after she retired from her career as a Clinical Psychologist.    She offers Qigong classes throughout the Northern Virginia area and online, with an emphasis on helping students deepen their connection with their own Qi and the Universal Qi.  She studies with many well-known teachers, and is certified to share the practices of world-renowned Qigong Master and healer, Robert Peng.  She has been teaching breathing practices since 1990 as part of her work in treating stress and trauma and she strives to offer trauma-sensitive practices.
