Personal Finance Workshop: Creating a Financial Recovery Plan

Have you fallen behind on payments or increased your debt due to loss of employment or another financial crisis? Learn the steps to recover financially, rebuild your credit and gain financial stability. The class will discuss how to evaluate your current situation and develop a financial recovery plan. We will give you tips and tools as to how to talk with creditors, landlords, and/or service providers and how to prioritize which debts or past due accounts you should strive to pay off first.

Financial Empowerment Center at South County is managed by Britepaths in partnership with United Way of the National Capital Area and Fairfax County Government.  FECSoCo provides many free personal finance learning opportunities and workshops for job seekers and entrepreneurs. FECSoCo brings together the most effective nonprofit and government partners to help clients grow income, build assets, manage debt, and improve credit.
