Rhythm Around the World: 2024 Summer Music and Dance Series: EXTRA Performance

Come hear singer-songwriter Amoreena Athanas as she weaves literary works with her beautiful vocals to create songs that will mesmerize and delight. You'll also enjoy learning about her recent and first-ever trip to her homeland. Greece-inspired snacks will be served.

Amoreena Athanas is a singer-songwriter whose music masterfully combines the introspective charm of Regina Spektor and Tori Amos with the grand, cinematic flair of Elton John and Alan Menken. With piano-driven melodies at the heart of her sound, Amoreena creates songs that evoke the magic of the stage and the emotional depth of cinematic storytelling. Amoreena is constantly creating new music, including songs inspired by her Greek roots, continuing to weave her cultural heritage into her evolving artistry.
