Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month!

Hispanic Heritage Month is a time to celebrate and recognize the achievements and contributions of the Hispanic/Latinx community. Meet inspiring Hispanic/Latinx leaders who will share stories of how their strength and resilience led to successful careers and positive contributions to our society. Co-sponsored by One Fairfax.

Biaggi Headshot

Pedro Biaggi, the President of DC 877FM, weaves a compelling narrative of resilience and success in radio broadcasting and music promotion. His journey began in Guánica, Puerto Rico, where he overcame childhood adversity with the support of his family, transforming challenges into a pursuit of his dreams.

In Washington D.C., Pedro hosts "Pedro Biaggi en la Mañana," becoming a voice of hope for the Latin community. As president of DC 877FM, he orchestrates engaging discussions and inspires listeners, turning his personal journey into a powerful legacy of resilience and passion in the media landscape. Pedro’s influence extends beyond the airwaves, making him a beloved figure in the lives of many.

Jasmin Chavez is an Associate Director at the White House where she oversees outreach and recruitment for the White House Internship Program. Most recently, she was a Special Assistant for the White House Hispanic Initiative and the Center for Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnerships at the U.S. Department of Education for two years.Jasmin has given back to her community in Virginia by serving as the immediate past State Director for the Virginia League of United Latin American Citizens from 2020-2023. She has also served as the Latino Outreach & Political Director for Victoria Virasingh for Congress in 2022 and as the Chair of the Virginia Todos Con Biden Youth Committee in 2020.

Christopher J. Falcon took office on January 3rd, 2024 as the Clerk of Court for Fairfax County Circuit Court.  He has previously served as Legal Counsel, Deputy Clerk and Civil Division Supervisor for the Arlington Circuit Court Clerk’s office. Before taking office, he was a practicing attorney for 15 years and was the founder and owner of The Falcon Firm PLLC. Chris earned his undergraduate degree in Management from James Madison University and his JD from the Widener Commonwealth Law School.  He is the first Latino Clerk of Court in Fairfax County and in Virginia history. Chris lives with his wife Jackie, an FCPS educator, and their three children in Annandale.

Palchick Headshot

Supervisor Dalia A. Palchik was born in Argentina and moved to Fairfax County, Virginia with her family when she was six years old. She is a proud graduate of Fairfax County Public Schools, including Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology. Dalia received her Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology and French from Tufts University, and her post-baccalaureate pre-medical certificate from Johns Hopkins University. 

Supervisor Dalia Palchik has represented the Providence District on the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors since 2020. The District Supervisor’s work consists of chairing the county’s Health and Human Services Committee, the Housing Committee, and the Council to End Domestic Violence. She also serves on the Board of the Virginia Association of Counties, the State Executive Council for Children’s Services, the Northern Virginia Transportation Commission, and the Successful Children and Youth Policy Team.  Since taking office, Dalia has helped create the Tysons Community Alliance, launch a Guaranteed Basic Income pilot project, and create the African-American Black History Marker Project.
