Citizen Science: Birding and Binoculars

Citizen Science: Birding and Binoculars

Interesed in bird watching? Want to learn to use binoculars to identify birds?

Learn how to use binoculars to identify birds, how to care and help injured birds, and other general information about songbirds and waterfowl in this presentation with a birding naturalist. Then, join us outside the library and practice what you've learned to identify birds in the wild!

About the Presenter

Danielle works on the Fairfax County Park Authority team at Riverbend Park. Her degree is in conservation biology with a minor in sustainability.

After taking an ornithology class, birding became one of Danielle's favorite hobbies and she developed a deep respect and love for our native birds.
