Parent & Child Froebel Star Ornaments, Session 1

Parent & Child Froebel Star Ornaments, Session 1

Make your very own Froebel Star! In this session, work with your child to fold four strips of paper into a three-dimensional star.

A Froebel star is a paper decoration common in Germany.  The Froebel star carries the name of the German educationist, Friedrich Fröbel (1782-1852). He encouraged the use of paper folding to convey simple mathematical concepts to children.

Have fun making an ornament while learning together!

This is a multi-step craft and is recommended for children's ages 8-12.  Registration required.
