Practicing or developing art skills has been shown to improve mental health, reduce mood disturbancesstimulate mental function, and alleviate pain. You don't need to do it all the time or even finish projects either, there are benefits to simply making it a hobby

A great way to practice art as therapy or just for fun is at your local library, and all materials are provided for the first 10 people who arrive. All skill levels are welcome whether you're a beginner or an accomplished artist.

This program is for adults, and no signup is needed. If you have questions about the appropriate age for a program, its content, or accommodations, please call the branch at 703-451-8055 (option 4).
