Miscommunication or Missed Communication? - The Challenges of Hearing Loss Part 2 - Techie Stuff to the Rescue!
Presented by the Northern Virginia Resource Center for Deaf and Hard of Hearing Persons (NVRC).
NVRC welcomes participants who are hearing as well as those with hearing loss since everyone can benefit from the information.
Participants can choose to attend one, two, or all three 45-minute sessions.
NVRC is the area's leading non-profit for people with hearing loss, serving the community since 1988. No sales are ever involved.
(This 3-part program won a Distinguished Partner Award from Fairfax County's Neighborhood and Community Services.) Part 3 will be held on April 3.
Part 2 - Techie Stuff to the Rescue!
Sometimes hearing aids are not quite enough, or you might prefer to start out with other devices. Technologies have changed so much in the past 20 years, giving Deaf and hard of hearing consumers better access to the world around them than ever before. From telephones for the home to flashing signal systems, and listening devices to apps for a tablet or smartphone, join Debbie Jones, NVRC's Technology Manager, as she discusses assistive technologies that you can take advantage of at home or on the go. Information about the Technology Assistance Program and other resources included.
