Cedar Hill House: A History

Cedar Hill House: A History

Join us as Park Guide Ife Calhoun shares the history of Cedar Hill House. Cedar Hill was the final home of Frederick Douglass. This presentation will explore the 21 room home in which Douglas lived his final 17 years and unpack the meaning of his belongings, hear about his life's work and how it is reflected in the home.  A crown jewel of the National Park Service, Cedar Hill is remarkably intact, being full of the original objects belonging to the Douglass family.
