Ebru Workshop
Ebru is a traditional Turkish art form that involves creating intricate patterns and designs on water, which are then transferred onto paper, canvas, fabric, or other suitable surfaces. This art technique is also known as water marbling.
Attendees will make their own art pieces by sprinkling natural pigments on treated water placed in trays using special brushes. The pigments are then shaped into various designs using combs and other tools. Once the design is complete, a sheet of paper is placed on the tray and then gently lifted to reveal the beautiful artwork. All materials provided.
This program is supported by the Friends of George Mason Regional Library and the Friends of Kings Park Library.
