Black History Month Lecture: Carter G Woodson

Join us virtually or at our branch for a talk about Carter G Woodson. Called 'The Father of Black History Month' by some and presented to you by Dr. Lopez Matthews Jr., State Archivist and Public Records Administrator for the District of Columbia. Carter G Woodson was the first scholar to study African American History, founder of the Negro Journal of History, one of the founders of the Association for the Study of African American Life and History and a Virginian. Those attending in person are welcome to bring their lunch.
