Join Hands On Harvests, a local nonprofit dedicated to helping people grow their own food, for National Seed Swap Day!

Trade your extra seeds for new varieties. If you don’t have seeds, come anyway and pick up a few packets of something you’ve wanted to grow. Meet other gardeners, ask your gardening questions and check out George Mason Regional Library's seed library.

To package your seeds for swapping:

• Bring your seeds in sealed paper envelopes.  
• Label every envelope in easy-to-read writing with the seed type, year and where the seeds came from. If you collected them, write “homegrown” and the city you live in.
• Please, no seeds dated before 2022.
