Native Gardening For Migratory Birds

On behalf of the Fairfax Invasive Removal Alliance (FIRA), and the Northern Virginia Bird Alliance (NVBA - formerly Audubon Society of NOVA), Ines Nedelcovic, a Virginia Master Naturalist, will discuss:

  • The importance of native plants for our habitats, ecosystems, and to mitigate climate change.
  • How to garden with native plants for migratory birds and local resident birds.  
  • Northern Virginia's bird migratory patterns and year-round resident birds. 
  • Safe Bird NOVA Lights Out campaign and the importance of helping maintain bird populations.

Co-hosted by Great Falls Senior Center and Great Falls Library.
