Storytelling Workshop : Leaving a legacy with personal narratives

Storytelling Workshop : Leaving a legacy with personal narratives

Stories can enrich the lives of the living, and immortalize those who have died. Learn the basics of crafting a personal narrative inspired by an event or person in your life.  In this 90-minute class, presented by Better Said Than Done Executive Director Jessica Robinson, you will learn about character development, story structure, and how to edit the entirety of a  life into one cohesive story. Participants will be given a writing prompt to work on and discuss in class.

Ready to read your story? Kings Park Library will host an open mic "story swap" on Saturday, November 22 where community members will be invited to share their stories.
