All Fairfax Reads: Pride and Prejudice Book Discussion
Celebrate All Fairfax Reads!
Celebrate Fairfax County Public Library's new series: All Fairfax Reads. Fairfax County Public Library is hosting events and a county-wide read of Jane Austen's classic novel, Pride and Prejudice, in celebration of the 250th anniversary of Jane Austen's birth.
Discuss Pride and Prejudice
Join us and George Mason University Professor Kristin Samuelian for a discussion of Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice. This classic novel tells the story of the Bennets, an English family living in Hartfordshire whose future happiness and security depends on the five daughters making good marriages. Family life begins to change with the arrival of the dashing, rich Mr. Darcy. Love soon buds for one of the Bennet sisters, while another sister may have jumped to a hasty prejudgment. Many trials and tribulations stand between the Bennet sisters and their happiness.
