Grief is a Verb

Grief is a Verb

Many people hear the word grief and think of five linear stages: denial becomes anger, anger leads to bargaining, bargaining leads to depression, and eventually you reach acceptance. But grief is not so linear, and the Kübler-Ross Five Stages is only one model that can be used to explain grief. In this program, you will learn how the grieving process has been defined in the past, and different theories of study to explain how grief shows itself in our daily lives.

This program will be lead by Tamaru Hiro, RN, BSN. Tamaru is a Death Doula and owner of Dignified Departures, an end-of-life planning service. She currently works as a home health nurse and volunteer with Hospice.
