Lifelong Learning Series - Senior Driver Safety & Mobility Seminar
Maintaining mobility is essential for independence, social connection, and quality of life. As we age, physical and cognitive changes can affect how safely and comfortably we drive, yet conversations about “driving retirement” often occur only after a crisis.
This informative session, presented by driver safety expert Kurt Gray, provides a proactive, supportive approach to understanding and managing the challenges aging drivers may face. The seminar explores:
- How age-related changes can influence driving ability
- Proven strategies and self-regulation techniques that help seniors continue driving safely for as long as possible
- The role of family members and caregivers in decision-making and communication
- Mobility planning and community transportation options that support independence when driving is no longer the best choice
Attendees will leave with practical tools, credible resources, and increased confidence to approach driving decisions thoughtfully rather than reactively. Independence does not have to end when driving does.
Led by Kurt E. Gray who is the owner and principal consultant of KEG Consulting LLC and a former director of Driver Education & Training at AAA Club Alliance.
Following the session, attendees will have the opportunity to purchase a signed copy of Mr. Gray's new book Planning Your Driving Retirement.
