Burke Historical Society Presents: Mrs. Lincoln's Lawyer

Burke Historical Society Lecture Series.

Mary Todd Lincoln and Myra Bradwell became neighbors and friends when Mrs. Lincoln moved to Chicago after Lincoln’s assassination. In 1875, Mrs. Lincoln’s son, Robert, had her sent to an insane asylum.  Myra used her legal background to gain Mrs. Lincoln’s release.

Mary Lipsey explores this little-known history.

Adults and teens welcome.
