Every year the Library of Congress adds 25 titles to its registry of recordings that show "the richness of the nation's audio legacy." We will hear selections and some thoughts about why they play a role in the story of our country and perhaps share a memory or two. The registry covers a wide range of genres, but we will concentrate on the pop, jazz, and folk songs of the 20th Century, beginning with a military band playing "Star and Stripes Forever" in 1897 and going up to Ricky Martin's 1999 "Livin' La Vida Loca".
