Author Event: Black Social Television: How Black Twitter Changed Television with Dr. Sherri Williams

This month FCPL highlights "African American History & Voices of Change" as part of our America 250 celebration.

Join author and American University professor Dr. Sherri Williams as she discusses her book "Black Social Television: How Black Twitter Changed Television" in our meeting room. Learn about how Black Americans' digital activism on Twitter changed how television is watched, developed and produced because of Black viewers' advocacy. Moreover, Williams explores how Black content creators used Twitter and other social media to break into Hollywood. Learn more about the book on Kirkus Reviews.
