U.S. Citizenship and Naturalization Test Training Course Orientation

For individuals interested in attending a free 10-week United States Citizenship and Naturalization Test preparation course. Attend this mandatory orientation and enrollment session to determine eligibility and to learn more about this course to be held at the Thomas Jefferson Library on Tuesday evenings 7:00 - 9:00 pm. 

Topics to be covered in the course include: 

  • U.S. government history, civics and culture
  • Rights and responsibilities of U.S. citizens
  • Vocabulary for the written and reading portions of the test
  • The interview and test process. 

Class taught by a volunteer using training materials derived from the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Service website (https://www.uscis.gov/). 

During attendance at this orientation, students eligible and choosing to enroll will register for a 10-week class to be held at Thomas Jefferson Library on Tuesday evenings at 7:00 pm beginning on February 3, 2026. Registration and regular attendance are required. There are 10 seats available for the course.
