Nature Talk and Walk

In April, FCPL is celebrating American's 250th anniversary by focusing on America's Natural Legacy.

Members of the Fairfax Invasive Removal Alliance (FIRA) Wendy Cohen and Rekha Dolas will give a talk on invasive plants and native plant restoration. They will present ideas on how to manage invasive plants in your own yard and offer resources for getting involved in stewardship and advocacy in Fairfax County.

The talk will be followed by a brief nature walk in Tysons Pimmit Park behind the library (weather permitting) where you can put your new skills to the test!

About the Presenters: Wendy Cohen and Rekha Dolas are Fairfax Master Naturalists and the founders of Fairfax Invasive Removal Alliance (FIRA). Rekha Dolas is also a Weed Warrior-- authorized to do invasive plant management in National Parks--and a Tree Steward. You can find more information about FIRA at firaadvocacy.com
