Preserve Your Family Stories: Create an Oral History
Looking for a meaningful way to share memories and experiences with your family? Create an Oral History!
Seeing and hearing loved ones talk about their lives leaves a powerful legacy. Join us to learn about the importance of leaving an oral history, how to start an interview with a loved one, as well as some tips on technology and available resources. This program is part of the City of Fairfax Regional Library's Preservation Celebration; Preservation Week is April 26 - May 2.
About our speaker:
Jen Garrott is an Emmy® award-winning producer with over a decade of media expertise and a background in history. She has conducted countless interviews around the country for documentaries on C-SPAN's American History TV. A member of the Oral History Association and well versed in all the technical aspects of filming, she loves using her unique skill set to help people tell and document their legacy.
