Tomato Talk

Do you love tomatoes? The tomato is the number one fruit planted by home gardeners, and yes, tomato is a fruit, not a vegetable. The history of the tomato goes back 80,000 years. There are over 10,000 different types of beautiful and delicious tomatoes. 

Come and learn about the appropriate way to cultivate tomatoes in your backyard to produce abundance of fruits. 

The presentation will cover history, botany, biology, nutrition, and medicinal aspects of tomato. Learn about diseases and pests affecting tomatoes. 

Dr. Jafar Vossoughi, retired bioengineering professor and a Master Gardener, will present a comprehensive talk on the beautiful and delicious fruit, tomato.

Free parking is available, take the elevator to the first floor and follow the signs.
