Fairfax County Board of Supervisors Chairman Jeffrey C. McKay and Providence District Supervisor Dalia Palchik have submitted to the Fairfax County Public Library Board of Trustees a request to rename Oakton Community Library in honor and memory of former Congressman Gerald E. “Gerry” Connolly.  Rep. Connolly was a longtime Providence District Supervisor, then Chairman of the Board of Supervisors before being elected to Congress and contributed to the establishment of the branch. This public meeting will allow members of the community the opportunity to listen to information about the proposal and provide feedback. Registration recommended.
