Korean Calligraphy

Immerse yourself in the graceful world of Korean calligraphy, known as Seoye. In this interactive workshop, participants will learn basic techniques for creating beautiful characters and take home a finished piece of Korean Calligraphy.

Our teaching artist is an award-winning calligrapher who owned and operated a calligraphy academy in South Korea for 15 years before moving to America. She will demonstrate using the traditional “Four Treasures” of Korean calligraphy: brush, ink, paper and ink stone. Participants will be guided through brushstrokes to create beautiful piece of calligraphy - a famous Korean poem.    

Experience the meditative process that makes calligraphy both an art form and a mindful craft.

No experience necessary; all materials will be provided. Adults.
