Author Talk - P. O'Connell Pearson
Local author and historian P. (Patty) O'Connell Pearson will be visiting the library to talk about her newest book, No Ordinary Women. This book, recommended for ages 10 and up, details a period of time defined by rampant inequality. Through grassroots movements, people remade American society and government from the ground up. These activists were the Progressives, and thousands of them were women—even though women did not yet have the right to vote.
