Repair Café at Great Falls Library

Something broken at home? Found a hole in a much loved clothing item? Frustrated with your computer or phone? Repair Café can help - Join us for repairs and snacks.

The Fairfax County Repair Café is a group of volunteer repair experts with a focus on community. We're on a mission to build community resilience and make your stuff last longer. Once a month, we bring our tools and knowledge to a library in Northern Virginia to provide repairs and advice for a variety of things. Some of the services we can provide are:

  • Sewing repairs
  • Small appliance repairs (i.e. lighting fixtures, cookware)
  • Technology and computer help
  • Toy repairs
  • Jewelry repair
  • Knife sharpening *

* Knife sharpening is limited to 3 blades per visitor, and closes 30 minutes before Repair Café officially ends.

No cost for admission or repairs, all repairs are provided on a volunteer basis. Light refreshments available.

If you have a question about whether you can bring an item to us, or if you want to know more, email us at anicski@proton.me. We're happy to discuss options with you.
