Japanese Sashiko and Boro Mending
Come to the library to learn the basics of mending clothes the Boro ぼろ way!
If you have clothes to mend PLEASE BRING THEM to work on!
Boro or ぼろ is a traditional Japanese style of mending clothes with embroidery and patches. Popular nowadays to visibly repair clothes with holes or tears, or to colorfully decorate fabric. We will also teach a few simple Sashiko 刺し子 embroidery stitches alongside this mending technique.
Intermediate crafters. Must know basics of sewing.
