Community Art Project for Mental Health Awareness Month

Join us in celebration of Mental Health Awareness Month in May by participating in our community art project. We invite all to create a small piece of art that represents something that feels heavy or burdensome to carry and something that lightens that heaviness.

How to participate:

  1. Pick up a blank postcard at Kings Park Library.
  2. Create a piece of art that represents something that feels heavy to carry and/or something that lightens that heaviness.
  3. Return the postcard to one of the drop-off boxes at Kings Park Library by 5/11.
  4. Visit between 5/13 - 5/30 to see your art on display!

Please note that only one side of the postcard is able to be displayed. Open to all ages for participation. Visit our display case by the Meeting Room to view the art from 5/13-5/30.
