About the Author
Zachary Ford is a historical true crime author and researcher focused on the Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Virginia (DMV) region. Through his website, DMV True Crime, he shares his ongoing research into forgotten or overlooked criminal cases from the mid-20th century.
Ford’s first book, True Crime Northern Virginia – The 1950s and 60s, delves into notable cases from that era. His second book, Murder at the National Cathedral and Other Historic D.C. Crimes, was released on January 28, 2025. This work explores a 1944 murder at the National Cathedral’s library building, which led to a U.S. Supreme Court case, along with other cases from the 1930s through the 1950s.
