Sashiko (Visible Mending) for Beginners!

Come to the library to learn a few Sashiko stitches and take home what you complete (or don't!) to decorate yourself or your home.

Sashiko 刺し子 is a traditional Japanese style of embroidery that has been used to decorate fabric with beautiful patterns or as a functional reinforcement for damaged or delicate clothes. Popular nowadays to visibly repair clothes with holes or tears, or to colorfully decorate fabric.

Intermediate crafters. Must know basics of sewing.
