Introduction to Tatreez Embroidery!
Come to the library to learn about traditional Palestinian embroidery! In this workshop you will learn a bit about the history and then get the opportunity to learn to stitch a design for yourself!
Tatreez is an embroidery style in the cross-stitch style used to embellish traditional clothes and other items of clothing with motifs and colors that tie strongly with regions of Palestine and social relationships from the embroiderer. In 2021, UNESCO inscribed Tatreez embroidery as a representative of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
