Join Kingstowne Regional Library for a discussion of our county-wide read: Barbara Kingsolver's Demon Copperhead. Published in 2022, Demon Copperhead tells the story of a boy born in Appalachian Virginia as he comes of age and experiences hardships of rural institutional poverty. A modern retelling of Charles Dickens' David Copperfield, the novel was an instant bestseller and earned numerous accolades, including the 2023 Pulitzer Prize for Fiction and a spot on the New York Times list of the 100 Best Books of the 21st Century.
