Fairfax County Public Library is hosting events and a county-wide read of Barbara Kingsolver's Demon Copperhead as part of our annual series: All Fairfax Reads. This year’s selected title explores themes of social and economic stratification in Appalachia. Cosponsored by Fairfax Library Foundation.
About the Band
Blue Spruce seamlessly combines traditional bluegrass roots with contemporary influences and original compositions. Formed in 2010, the group is known for its instrumental music, harmonious vocals, and captivating performance style. The lineup features:
- Tom Gray (vocals, bass, mandolin) – Two-time inductee of the IBMA Bluegrass Hall of Fame
- Barb Diederich (vocals, mandolin, bass)
- Andrew Tontala (vocals, guitar)
- Shige Takeshita (vocals, banjo)
- Dave Goldman (fiddle)
