Fly Girls: The Daring American Women Pilots Who Helped Win WWII

Fly Girls: The Daring American Women Pilots Who Helped Win WWII

In the darkest days of WWII, the United States Army Aircorps faced a serious shortage of pilots. The WASP, Women Airforce Service Pilots, stepped up to fill that need. They became the first American women to fly military planes in the United States.  Patricia O'Connell Pearson, author of Fly Girls, introduces audiences of all ages to these remarkable women.
