CodeDay DC @ Mason

CodeDay DC, held at George Mason University, is a programming marathon where student programmers, artists, musicians, actors, and everyone else can get together and build apps and games for 24 hours. Students of all skill levels are welcome — we have workshops and mentors who can help if you're new! Each CodeDay weekend, thousands of students spend 24 hours making fun apps and games of their own design. Along the way, they attend workshops, get help from mentors, and participate in fun activities like no-hands typing contests and slideshow improv. Despite being mostly beginners, CodeDay attendees create hundreds of apps and games each season. Held three times each year in nearly 50 cities. November 10-11, noon to noon. Students aged 12-25; $7 per student (scholarships available). Get more information here.
