History Of The African American Spirituals: A special presentation at the Old Town Hall

Congress declared the African American Spiritual as a National Treasure in 2007.   Join Calvin Earl, the US Spokesman for African American Spiritual as a National Treasure for a special event exploring the history of the spiritual.  Mr. Earl was presented with a Presidential Proclamation by President George W Bush, "celebrating the extraordinary talents and creativity of African-American singers, musicians and composers whose achievements have enriched our culture and enhanced our lives." This interactive program is for all ages and will be at the Old Town Hall in the City of Fairfax. 

A program offered by the Fairfax County Public Library and the Parks Department, with the support of the Friends of  the City of Fairfax Library.
